Zero-touch agent deployment is the distribution of approved agent assets — instructions, skills, memory files — to every connected machine and tool without anyone opening or editing a local copy by hand.
It is not "everything is automatic." The judgment — what gets approved, what ships — stays with people. What is zero-touch is the propagation: once a version is approved, no human copies files between machines, which means no human introduces per-machine variations.
Hand-copied configuration is where drift starts. If individual machines are never touched individually, per-machine divergence has no entry point. Deployment without read-back verification, though, only moves the problem: you must re-read the target to know the push landed.
